Rosalin Acosta, Keynote
The recently named Secretary for Labor and Workforce Development for the Commonwealth of MA, Rosalin Acosta is a widely respected financial and banking service professional with over 30 years of experience in Greater Boston financial institutions. Acosta served in many community and civic capacities, including as a Board Member of The Boston Foundation, a Board Overseer at Boston Children’s Hospital since 2009, where she was a founding member of Milagros Para Ninos, and a 14-year Member of the Boston Chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA). Acosta is a Director and Planning Member of the Merrimack Valley Workforce Investment Board and was appointed a Northern Essex Community College Trustee by Governor Baker in 2016. Acosta has been named one of Boston’s Most Influential Women by the Women of Harvard Club in 2014, where she served on the Leadership Committee, and El Planeta’s Top 100 Most Influential Hispanics in Massachusetts for three consecutive years.
Linda Pizzuti Henry
In addition to her role as Managing Director at the The Boston Globe, Linda is a co-founder of HUBweek, an Emmy-winning television producer, and a community activist. She serves as a trustee of the Liverpool Football Club Foundation, a director of the Red Sox Foundation, chair of the Boston Globe Foundation, and chairman of the John W. Henry Family Foundation. In addition, she is a founder of the Boston Public Market and serves on the advisory board of MassChallenge.
A former entrepreneur turned venture capitalist, Jeff is currently a Partner at Flybridge Capital. Additionally, Jeff is an author, senior lecturer at Harvard Business School and a civic leader. He currently chairs the Alliance for Business Leadership, co-founded Hack.Diversity, and co-founded the Global EIR Coalition. Most impressively, though, is the fact that he has successfully completed 8 triathlons!
Dave Tibbetts Economic Impact Award
In recognition of the vital role that economic development plays in our local, regional, and statewide destinies, the Lawrence Partnership will be recognizing leaders who have successfully promoted and implemented innovative economic development strategies.
The award will be named for its first recipient, David Tibbetts, a leader who has represented the ideals of this award through his life of service to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and native City of Lawrence, including his role as Secretary of Economic Development for the Commonwealth under the Weld administration, the founder of the Merrimack Valley Economic Development Council and a founding board member of the Lawrence Partnership.
